"Bubba" on TV

Hey Everyone! If you live in Dothan or the surrounding area, this Men's Health Fair may be of some interest to you. My brother is a urologist in Dothan and he explained all about it yesterday on "Live at Lunch." Click HERE to watch. Margaret Anne watched it and kept saying "Bubba! Hey Bubba"! Because she calls Alan "Bubba." That was my nickname for him when I was little because I couldn't say "brother."

To Hays, on your birthday.

There’s more here than what we're seeing

A divine conspiracy

That you, an angel lovely

Could somehow fall for me

You’ll always be love’s great martyr

Ill be the flattered fool

and I need you

God gave me you for the ups and downs

God gave me you for the days of doubt

There are no words here left to say, it’s true

God gave me you

On my own I’m only

Half of what I could be

I can’t do without you

We are stitched together

And what love has tethered

I pray we never undo

God gave me you.

I love this song by Dave Barnes. And of course, every time I hear it, I think of Hays. I cannot imagine being blessed with a more wonderful man. He is an incredible husband and father. I can't think of many people who deserve to have an incredible birthday as much as he does. His sacrifices are many, and often his rewards are few. He is 29 today, and I would really love it if you would all comment to him and tell him Happy Birthday!

Beach, Part 1

We had a GREAT time at the beach last week and we got to see all kinds of family! It was very relaxing and all of us can't wait to go back! Another post with more pics will come soon!

Excited about going to the beach!

Getting used to the sand

Loving it!

Watching Real Housewives of New Jersey. Hays said "why do y'all look so mad?" Well, because that episode was intense! But then we took another one.

We also attempted a photo session one morning on the beach, but Margaret Anne wasn't really into it. Here are some of the best shots.

Then she had a minor meltdown, so we put her in her bathing suit and let her play. She was much happier!

More pics to come. Stay tuned...

We're still here

Just still enjoying our summer! Here's what we have been up to lately.
Dinner with very good, very old friends
Beth, Stephanie, Me, Amanda

We took a trip to Dothan, which included a visit with Grammy and Grampy. Grampy always finds funny toys for Margaret Anne, and she loves them!
Deer Antlers, anyone? They can go on our heads, be used as drumsticks, and even the dogs can chew on them!
Grammy made some fantastic pesto and sent us some REALLY GOOD 4th of July cookies. She and Grampy also gave MA a bubble machine and let her turn it on in the house (it was raining outside)!! Which we soon found out can make the floor very slippery...

So Margaret Anne enjoyed it outside the next day.

We went to the Wiregrass Commons Mall and rode the carousel. MA wanted Uncle "Bubba" to ride with her.
She LOVES him!

We also woke up very early with interesting hair.
She is Jersey-licious!

And we spent a whole afternoon in and around the pool.

We celebrated the 4th of July...

Got ready for the fireworks with glowies (which later broke open, got in MA's eye and started a meltdown of mommy and child but it ended quickly)

And waited some more in my new tailgate chair. She is going to be a champ at tailgating!

She loved the fireworks and it certainly has been busy! But we have been so blessed to have time with family and friends this summer.

Now its my birthday week! What?? I don't get a whole week? I think I do. I am going to be 31, after all. Onto girls' nights, a concert, and a vacay.  Doesn't get any better ;-)
