My hero

EVERYONE should click HERE and view this video of my amazing sister, Sandi, and her journey as she fights through Stage IV breast cancer. This really puts it all in perspective.

"Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits- who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion." Psalm 103:3-4

Fun times

I was lucky enough to go to a Masquerade/Mardi Gras ball with some friends a few months ago and here are just a few pics. I am lucky that I work with some wonderful people and that we enjoy hanging out outside of work, too!!

Margaret Anne and me before it was time to go. She kept telling me I looked like a princess! Nothing like a two year old with a princess obsession to make you feel pretty :)

I loved the dress :-)

 My awesome work friends!
From left to right: me, Sharon,Teresa, Jimmy, and John

I had to have a long formal gown so I was so happy to find one that I loved at Cache! It was navy and very classic so I hope that I will be able to wear it for years to come. I also LOVED my earrings. They were so big and obnoxious and sparkly and everything that I love! They were peacocks with huge sparkly tails and I got them at Charming Charlie.
I had a blast at the "Bal" and can't wait to go back next year!

The Greatest Show on Earth

We took Margaret Anne to the circus when it was in town at the end of January. Hays got us GREAT seats and she LOVED all of the action, especially the animals. And we were close enough to smell them, too. GROSS!! We didn't get a lot of great pics of Margaret Anne, but I did get some good shots of the action!
Completely mesmerized... (sorry, bad pic of the hubs)

The elephants were fun to watch!

These were two HUGE dudes who kept balancing on each other and lifting each other up Cirque du Soleil style. It was weird but kinda cool...

Before the tigers came out, MA kept saying "No Tiger! Mean!" but when they finally came out she liked them and didn't seem at all scared. I hope they pay that tiger trainer guy a lot... I'm not sure you could pay me ENOUGH to get in there with those tigers! They were gorgeous animals though.

The Ringmaster

This was towards the end and she was getting tired! But just talking away.

It was all really fun. And also fun that Hays was so shocked at how awesome the show was. I don't think he remembered the circus being such a production and seemed a little surprised, almost like a kid himself! That made it even more fun to see him enjoy it so much.

CUTE Easter shirts!

I know I have tons of blogger friends and IRL friends with little children, so I want all of you to check out my friend's Etsy site! It caught my eye yesterday when she posted it on Facebook and I just thought her stuff was SO cute AND reasonably priced! It is called Southern Stitchery and you can click HERE to see all of her precious monogrammed and appliqued Easter things. And not only does she have Easter for boys and girls, she has some really cute other designs as well, and her sizes range all the way from 0-3 months to youth large.

Check out what I ordered for Margaret Anne!

I LOVE this!

Cute Easter Bunny Applique! She can do any letter (of course) and in blue for boys.

I am in love with this mermaid's sparkly tail :)

And here are some boy items that I think are really cute...

So Sweet!

I don't know what my thing is with reptiles and amphibians, but I love the dinosaur and frog.

And IF I was a Bama fan, I would love this Bama Elephant :)

But I am sure she could customize something like this to be orange and blue for us Auburn fans! War Eagle!

So, go visit Southern Stitchery check her stuff out!

First Haircut

Our good friend and family hairdresser Tina gave Margaret Anne a haircut a few months ago (yes, I am just getting around to posting it :)) and I am glad I brought my camera. I thought she would do ok because she lets me fix her hair every day, but you never know with a 2 year old... but MA did do great and let Tina cut her hair like such a big girl! The worst part was that she got mad at me for taking her little fleece dress off that she had on because it would have been in Tina's way, but as soon as she got over that we were home free.
Getting it wet

Being a big girl for Miss Tina!

Showing off my new 'do

We only had about an inch cut off, just enough to even it out in the back. I can't believe she was almost two and a half before I got her hair cut, but I let it go long enough. The cut really didn't make it look any shorter because it is so curly, but it does look much thicker and healthier, and to me made her look so much more like a little girl and not a baby!
